Kia ora!
My name is Devon, I’m 23 and film is my thing! I completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Film, directed my own short documentary about a Welly Street Artist, and have spent years capturing life through a lens—especially while traveling overseas and around Aotearoa. Moving around New Zealand (Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland, and now Waikato) has given me fresh perspectives, and I’ve documented my experiences along the way through video.
While working in events to build up transferable skills for film production, I have organised and delivered 1000pax gigs with international artists, 70pax jewellery making workshops, out-the-gate community days with many-a-bouncy-castles and circus performances and heaps more! Working in events has given me solid skills in planning, communication, and managing chaos (because let’s be real, events and film sets both require that).
I love hands-on creativity, problem-solving, and making things happen—whether it’s behind the camera, in post-production, or helping organize a project. After moving to the Waikato in early 2025, I’m super keen to meet others who share the same passion for film and storytelling!
