Indie film maker, Gaffer, Camera Op, Grip, Editor, location scout, Transport captain.

My main passion is to see Features, TVS’s, Music videos, Online Video series being made in the Waikato. Being a long time Waikato resident, I have an extensive knowledge of the Waikato and can point any production in the direction of their ideal locations and provide location management of any rural locations.

Waikato has the advantage of being unspoiled as far as filmmaking saturation is concerned, meaning the costs are generally lower than in the main filming centres and I can make sure that these savings show up in your next film’s budget

Industry Experience

I've made a number films, shorts, music videos and features in and around the Waikato. I've worked in front of camera for TVS's such as Xena (XWP), Herc (HTLJ), Young Herc, Street Legal, Shortland Street etc. and behind Camera with indie features and shorts mostly in the Waikato. My main role is as Gaffer/Grip but I'm pretty much usable in any role on set.

I am a licensed heavy machine operator and have a Class five license. Extensive experience in the transport industry including owning and managing my own Contracting business means I have the fleet management and procurement skills to find the right transport solutions for any production, in particular thinking outside the square to ensure productions stick to or come under budget in the transport and vehicle hire spaces.

I am a Director. a Writer, a Producer, an AD, a Gaffer, a lighting Designer and a Director of a Production Company

I am a mechanic, an engineer, a class 5 truck driver, a heavy machine operator, an electrician through a life time of working, which included 15 years as owner/manager of my own business. All of the above has equipped me to be all of the things in para 1 Plus over 30 years in theatre Producing and Directing and Lighting numerous shows with small and large casts and crews of dozens.

So yes a business owner is a producer, a business manager is an AD and I have years of experience in theatre and Film to know how a Production should move and I've worked in pretty much every department on films shorts and TVS to know how things should run. My preference is still and probably always will be, playing with light, but at the end of the day, it's all about getting the shot in the can and getting it within budget!
